Efficient logistics for precast plants
No more expensive downtimes and transport damage
If the crane is at the construction site because the truck is stuck in a traffic jam – or if the truck is at the factory because loading is stuck – then your company is burning cash. At R-TECH in Neunkirchen, we know that steel construction is more than just welding. It’s about extending the flow of your production to the road and the construction site.
Logistics is often the bottleneck in the precast concrete and timber industry. Conventional transport solutions quickly reach their limits with elements weighing several tons, sensitive surfaces and tight schedules. We have made it our mission to widen this bottleneck. With system solutions “Made in Austria”, we ensure that your logistics function as precisely as your production.
The problem: Why conventional logistics eats into your profits
If you ask a plant manager about his biggest concerns, three words usually come to mind: Time, safety and damage.
- The downtime trap: A truck that waits six hours in the factory to be loaded is an economic disaster. Driver resources are scarce, the costs for the fleet increase.
- Transport damage: A hairline crack in the concrete or a pressure point in the glulam, caused by inferior load securing or unsuitable pallets, leads to complaints that can destroy the entire contribution margin of an order.
- Danger zones: Turning elements weighing several tons in the factory or on the construction site is a massive safety risk for your employees without specialized equipment.
This is where R-TECH Stahlbauges.m.b.H. comes in. We do not build standard racks. We build the hardware for your process optimization.
Our solution
The R-TECH principle of “flowing logistics”
Our systems – from the classic inloader pallet to the highly complex turning frame – pursue one goal: the decoupling of production, loading and transportation.
1. inloader pallets: every millimeter counts
Our inloader pallets (ILP) are the backbone of many European precast plants. Why? Because we use steel where it is structurally necessary and save where we gain loading height.
- Z-shape instead of I-beam: Thanks to our special design, we gain valuable centimetres in height. For you, this means that larger components can be transported upright without violating the legal height restrictions.
- Material quality: We only use high-strength S355 steel. This makes our pallets lighter with a higher payload.
- Telescopic: As a partner of market leaders such as Faymonville, we offer pallets that can be flexibly adapted to the length of your components.
2. swap bodies and drop-off systems (drop & swap)
The principle is as simple as it is ingenious: your plant produces directly onto the swap body. The truck driver arrives, sets down the empty swap body, picks up the fully loaded one and is back on the road in 10 minutes.
- Avoidance of idling: The driver does not have to be present during the loading process.
- Buffer storage: The swap bodies also serve as mobile storage. If the construction site comes to a standstill, the goods remain safely on the flatbed instead of blocking the hall floor.
- BDF compatibility: Our systems are designed to harmonize with standard chassis.
3. the reversible trestle: safety rethought
Anyone who has ever watched a 20-ton precast concrete element being laboriously turned with chains and two cranes knows how much sweat it takes. Our turning trestle makes this process plannable and safe.
- Accident prevention: The element is rotated in a controlled manner without employees having to step into the danger zone.
- Surface protection: Rubberized supports and precise mechanics make chipping on the edges a thing of the past.

Quality from Austria:
Why “Made in Austria” makes the difference
We are located in the south of Lower Austria, in Neunkirchen/Willendorf. For us, this is more than just a location – it is a promise of quality. When we talk about steel construction, we mean craftsmanship that has been thought through by engineers.
What sets us apart from low-cost providers:
- In-house design: Every project starts in our design department. We use the latest CAD systems to implement your specific requirements (e.g. special dimensions for glass A-frames or special load supports).
- Certified safety: Our specialist welding companies work to the highest standards. Every pallet that leaves our factory is a tested safety component.
- Durability through surface protection: In the harsh world of construction site logistics, only what is well protected will last. We offer hot-dip galvanizing in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1461, which protects your investment against corrosion for decades.
Digitalization in steel construction
We know where your pallets are
A common problem in logistics: “Where is pallet number 402?” In large construction projects, companies often lose track of their load carriers.
R-TECH is taking a step into the future here. By integrating GPRS and RFID tracking systems, we make your logistics transparent. You can see in real time which pallet is in the factory, on the road or on the construction site. This reduces search times and prevents the loss of expensive operating resources.
Profitability calculation: an investment that pays for itself in months
Let’s look at the figures. An average truck-trailer combination costs a considerable amount per hour, including driver, insurance and diesel.
- Scenario A (conventional): 4 hours waiting time during loading + 2 hours during unloading = 6 hours of unproductive time per day.
- Scenario B (R-TECH system): 15 minutes for swapping the swap body.
With a fleet of just 5 vehicles, you save hundreds of hours per month thanks to optimized systems. If you add in the damage avoided to the finished parts, the payback period for our pallets is often less than a financial year.

Regionally rooted – internationally in demand
Although we are proud of our location in Neunkirchen (Lower Austria), our solutions know no borders. R-TECH systems are now in use throughout Europe, from Scandinavia to the Balkans. We understand the country-specific requirements for road approval and the different construction site standards.
For our customers in the Vienna, Graz and Linz area, our proximity means we can be on site quickly to plan individual solutions directly at the property. But global corporations also appreciate the flexibility of an owner-managed company that makes quick decisions and delivers with precision.
